The prevailing trend in whole-home video is distributing video to multiple TVs, but a Seattle startup has taken the multi-room video concept to PCs with the introduction of a software upgrade to its TV-on-PC cards. Ceton released a free new application that enables its InfiniTV 4 multi-tuner digital cable cards to distribute video to multiple PCs in a household.
Today, Ceton is making a few announcements worth taking note of. First off – Ceton has fulfilled the backorder of InfiniTV 4 TV tuner cards and is now making InfiniTV 4 TV tuner cards available from Amazon, in addition to its existing retailers. The next thing is Ceton is announcing and making available today a free new application with updated firmware that enables Network Tuners with their InfiniTV TV tuner products.
Ceton has just released an application and setup guide that will handle all of the necessary settings to get you sharing tuners quickly and easily ... This can be a great solution for getting TV to other places in your home without investing in more hardware, especially if you don’t feel you need four tuners on your main HTPC.
Now, Ceton has released the InfiniTV Network Tuner Wizard to provide an easy way to configure and officially support the InfiniTV when used by multiple PCs. We’ve had the opportunity to use the wizard and produce a guide to help you learn what it does and how to use it.

Looks like the HDHomeRun Prime may see a little competition later this year via Ceton’s newly revealed USB CableCARD tuner. The InfiniTV 4 USB is surely the most handsome and compact external CableCARD device to date.
We ran into the Hammers from Ceton Corp at CES and they revealed their latest products to us; the InfiniTV 4 USB and the internal InfiniTV 6. Today at the Consumer Electronics Show, CES, Ceton announced two new products to compliment their existing four-tuner PCI-E card that we reviewed last year. First up is a four-tuner external USB device that should help to serve the segment of the Windows Media Center community who use small-form-factor devices, such as Acer Aspire Revos, or any other computer that doesn’t have an internal PCI-Express slot.
