Extended Return and Warranty Programs for Ceton Echo

At Ceton we hold ourselves to a very high standard for product quality and customer satisfaction.  We’re extremely proud of the fantastic customer response and high marks that our InfiniTV tuners have received and the incredible enthusiasm people have for the Echo.  That level of customer passion is a precious asset to attain and even more valuable to hold on to.  We know the launch of the Echo hasn’t lived up to the standards you expect of us and that we set for ourselves.  We won’t make excuses or try to spin a story about typical new product glitches.  The bottom line is that the Echo isn’t performing to the level we expect and we want you to know that we stand behind our products and are working non-stop to make things better.  Those of you who have had an Echo since the beta program have seen us roll out some significant improvements over the last few weeks but we’re not yet where we want to be in terms of performance, stability and features.  We’re confident that, in the end, everyone who purchased an Echo will be glad they did.

To help make you as confident in the Echo as we are, today we’re announcing special extended warranty and return policies for all Ceton Echo purchases made before January 1, 2013.

  • Returns: You may return your Ceton Echo within 90 days of the date of original purchase for a refund if you’re not satisfied.  This is a 60-day extension to the standard 30-day return policy.  For people who participated in the beta program, your purchase date will be November 26th, when the Echo launched, and not the earlier date you actually purchased the Echo beta.  This means that everyone will have until February 26 at the minimum to put the Echo through its paces, test out the firmware upgrades we’ll be rolling out and ensure the Echo performs to your satisfaction.


  • Warranty: Ceton warrants that the Ceton Echo will to be free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for the period of two years from the original date of retail purchase by the original purchaser.  This doubles the standard one year warranty period.  As with returns, for people who participated in the beta program, your purchase date will be November 26th, when the Echo launched, and not the earlier date you actually purchased the Echo beta.


We know that it’s up to us to prove it to you in the end, but we hope these extended return and warranty benefits give you some assurance that betting on the Echo was a smart bet.
