Ceton have announced two new TV tunes for Windows Media Center. There is the InfiniTV 6 ETH a networked enabled 6 tuner system and the InfiniTV 6 PCIe a PCIe based tuner. Both just need one CableCARD and work with Windows Media Center. Ceton produce excellent tuners and are great supporters of Windows Media Center, if you want a CableCARD tuner then these will be well worth looking at.

Interview: We chat with Ceton about My Media Center for Windows 8

In January, Ceton Corporation launched the first version of its My Media Center app for Windows 8, after previously launching versions for iOS, Android, Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet, Barnes and Noble's Nook tablet and Windows Phone. However, Ceton was already well known for its PC hardware products as well, including its InfiniTV PC CableCard tuners and its Echo Windows Media Center Extender. Since the launch of the Windows 8 version of My Media Center, the $4.99 app has become one of the top selling paid apps in the Windows Store. We got in contact with Ceton to learn more about the app and their future plans. Ed Graczyk , the company's chief marketing officer, answered our questions via email, and he also gave us his thoughts on how Microsoft can help boost Windows 8 sales, his impressions of what's been revealed for Windows 8.1 and more.

Q: Does InfiniTV work with Windows 7 N edition?

A: The N editions of Windows 7 do not include the Digital Rights Management (DRM) components needed for protected TV content to work, even if Windows Media Player is installed. As a result, using InfiniTV with Windows 7 N edition is not supported.

Yes, InfiniTV does work with Windows 8 but requires the x64 (64-bit) version of Windows 8 Pro. The latest beta drivers for Windows 8 are available from here

A: With the InfiniTV 4 PCIe, power consumption will vary by the duty cycle. Depending on the number of tuners in use and the type CableCARD installed, InfiniTV can require up to 14 watts when all four tuners are running.
